Transcribed on your machine
Whisper runs locally on your CPU — about 14× realtime, so an 81-minute meeting transcribes in under 3 minutes. Multi-hour recordings stream straight to disk. Your audio never leaves your computer.
Summaries by the AI you already have
Claude Code, an Anthropic API key, or an OpenAI key — Eileen uses whichever you have and writes a title, summary, key points, action items with owners, decisions, and open questions.
Action items that don't evaporate
Every task becomes a persistent checkbox on the note. Tick them off as they get done. Double-click to rename, re-analyze any transcript, jump the audio player to any moment.

Each note is just a folder: recording.wav, transcript.txt,
note.json in Documents\Eileen Notes. Back it up, grep it, keep it. If your
PC crashes mid-meeting, Eileen finishes the recording on next launch.
Audio never leaves your machine. Only the finished text transcript goes to the summarizer you choose — and only if you configure one.

Install
Run Eileen-Setup.exe. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway (Eileen isn't code-signed yet — she's new to the courthouse). Install for "just me"; no admin needed.

Record
Pick your microphone, press the big red button. Live meters show both sides are being heard. The first time you stop, Eileen downloads her speech model (~141 MB, one time) — after that, transcription works fully offline.

Choose her summarizer
In Settings, pick who writes the summaries: the Claude Code app (auto-detected), an Anthropic API key, or an OpenAI API key. Recording and transcripts work with none of them — only the summary needs a backend, at a few cents per meeting.

What happens right after I pay?
Stripe confirms the payment, you land on a thank-you page with your download, and an email arrives with your personal download link. The link is unique to you and valid for 30 days — after that, request a fresh one above in ten seconds.
Windows says "unknown publisher." Is that safe?
Yes — Eileen isn't code-signed yet (certificates are pricey for a small app). Click More info → Run anyway. The installer you download here is the exact build we made.
Do I need a ChatGPT or Claude subscription?
Recording and transcription need nothing — they run locally. For AI summaries, use the Claude Code app if you have a paid Claude plan, or an Anthropic/OpenAI API key. A typical meeting summary costs a few cents. Note: a ChatGPT subscription does not include an OpenAI API key — keys come from platform.openai.com.
Is my meeting audio private?
Audio is recorded and transcribed entirely on your machine and never uploaded. If you configure a summarizer, only the finished text transcript is sent to it. Your API keys stay on your computer.
Mac? Linux?
Windows 10/11 (64-bit) only. Eileen leans on Windows' own audio system to capture both sides of a call without a meeting bot.
How do updates work?
When a new version ships, you get an email with the release notes and a fresh personal download link. Lifetime buyers get every update forever; monthly subscribers get updates while the subscription is active. You can unsubscribe from update emails anytime.
How do I cancel the monthly plan?
Stripe handles it — use the "Manage or cancel" box above to get your billing portal link. Cancel takes two clicks, you keep access until the end of the paid period, and there's no one to argue with.
What's your refund policy?
If Eileen doesn't work out on your machine within 14 days of purchase, reply to your receipt email and we'll refund you. For the record: we'd rather refund you than frustrate you.
New computer? Can I reinstall?
Of course. Request a fresh link above with your purchase email and install on your new machine. Your notes are plain files — copy your Eileen Notes folder over and everything comes with you.
