The app
Eileen records and transcribes entirely on your computer. Audio is never uploaded anywhere. If you configure an AI summarizer, the finished text transcript (and nothing else) is sent to the provider you chose — Anthropic or OpenAI — under their terms, using your own key or app. Your API keys are stored only on your computer. Eileen contains no analytics, telemetry, or tracking.
The website
When you buy Eileen we store: your email address, your name if Stripe provides it, which plan you bought, your Stripe customer ID, and the download tokens we issue you. That's the whole database.
- Stripe processes payment and holds your card details; we never see them.
- Brevo delivers our transactional email (receipts, download links, update announcements).
- We send update announcements to customers; every one has an unsubscribe link.
- No advertising, no analytics cookies, no selling or sharing of your data. Ever.
